Spurious Russian contacts

Morning all,
I know we have probably all seen these spurious returns on our screens from time to time, and I recall seeing an explanation some time time ago, but this little batch prompted me to ask for a reminder.

These 13 Russian hex codes popped up on the SBS just now, and immediately disappeared again.
Can some kind soul enlighten me again?

I don't think anyone knows what's generating these messages or from where.

I think the best advice is "ignore them".

But if anyone knows more, please jump in.

Hi Pete,

Im in the same sort of area as you and i also get them, you can either keep deleting them or in your reg box fill it in with RADAR or something for example, they are are annoying but as Anmer has said nobody knows.
Open to suggestions!!!
