Afternoon.
Trying to install an SDR Puck on a friends Windows 10 64 bit laptop.
Downloaded latest base station software.
He has had it from new but cant get it to work.
Its installed, base station says connected to SDR Puck.
Nothing displaying on either the radar screen or side pane.
0 aircraft.
I use an old SBS-1 and works fine, cant figure out whats wrong with the puck. Should have a good aerial pick up where we are, usually 100 or so aircraft give or take.
Any suggestions please?
thanks
Kev

Welcome.

Have you tested your SBS-1 with his antenna and cables?

The SDR Puck has an SMA connector.  Check the cable is also SMA and not RP-SMA:

SDR PUCK is for audio only,

You would need the 1090 Puck for viewing aircraft,

Regards,

Lee.

SDR PUCK is for audio only,

Yes, Lee is spot on.  I did ask myself if you had the right version and, wrongly, decided the SDR was for ADS-B.

Shows what I know!
