I have installed FD but it only said "main planeplotter is not running? cannot create activex component".
So I took a look at the FD7.dat. I have changed the line "2. Userdatapath
C:\COAA\PlanePlotter\Userdata
False"
to
"2. Userdatapath
C:\COAA\PlanePlotter\Userdata" (i.e. deleted the false)

now FD don't bring an error but only says "waiting for data" (PP is running and receiving own and shared data)

Line 115, which sometimes caused issues for other users, is fine
"115. COAA Path
C:\COAA\PlanePlotter"

I have no idea what the issue could be and would appreciate any help.

There's an FD "online" user manual.  Press the F1 function key when FD is the selected application.  There's also a Readme.txt file in the download Zip.

You don't need to edit the FD7.dat file.

In Opts select Reset.

The manual/README does not help me. It tells me to point to C:\users\name\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\COAA\Planeplotter as a W7 user
I have Windows 7 but the only COAA folder I have is at c:\COAA to where I have pointed FD. The reset did not solve my issue. It still says "waiting for data"

Have you selected an aircraft in PP?
