rikgale's Silhouettes, Logos and Flags

Hey All

I decided to sit down today and have a try making my own sideviews with logos. Having asked for plenty (and I won't be stopping asking ) I figured that I should also have a go at my own done in the style of Chris Alder and Steve Hibberd.

Open to comments and feedback, positive or negative, with an aim to improve what I have done.

EDIT 01/12/2020 - I am now doing airline collections. To avoid conflicts with Steve's and Chris's side view with logos naming convention I will be using a - between the ICAO code and the Type code e.g. Ryanair B737-800 would be named RYR-B738

Summit Air (SMM) RJ85 re-done - have been learning techniques to get the logos and names looking less blocking and my Summit Air one really needed redoing in the light of new knowledge.

Now and again I make my own as I still prefer plain silhouettes and old-fashioned airline logos.  Recently I've started making silhouettes of military transports with the addition of a country roundel.  It's time-consuming but not too difficult, as long as I don't try to get too clever.

It's good to see others are experimenting as well and thanks for sharing your creations.

Noted a lack of General Aviation flags out there for individual air frames, so I have decided to make a start going through all the ones picked up in Cornwall, UK. I think over time they should make a colourful set.

Aiming to get individual registration and manufacturer logo on each.

Living near (ish) to RNAS Culdrose there are plenty of EH101 Merlins flying about, but the only op flag I had was for a EH101 HM.2. From time to time I do pick up an EH101  HC.3i and today an EH101  HC.4. So I have made one for each type as they have slightly different external appearance. The base image for the HM.2 is Steve Hibberd's RNEH10 to which I added rotor blades and HM.2. If you are not happy with this Steve please let me know and I will re-do from scratch.
