AD Lite not staying connected with TCP server

I use an GNS 5890 USB receiver.
In order to update the plane data I wanted to run AD Lite.

My system currently is the following :
The GNS 5890 is controlled by the ADBScope software.
This software also has a TCP server set to 127.0.0.1 port 30003.

This TCP server feeds Virtual Radar, SBS Plotter and Planeplotter without a problem.
The Database Writer plugin of VRS updates the Basestation database file and SBS-1Populate runs without a problem.

However I have only been able to get AD Lite to sporadically connect to the TCP server.
In the server log a new connection is set-up but AD Lite seems to disconnect almost immediately and then reports that Basestation is not running.
If I am lucky some planes get through during this short interval and are shown in AD Lite display.

Any ideas ?

AD LIte looks for Basestation.exe as a running process and also a Basestation.sqb file in the nominated folder.

Without Basestation running, I can't see that AD Lite will work.  But I could be wrong.
