Thanks.

Just spoken to an ex-Kinetic employee.

He suggested downloading the drivers direct from the FTDI site:

https://ftdichip.com/drivers/

BOOM!!!

Thats done the trick...... I deleted them in DM, then rick click run as admin installed the drivers from that website and I do believe we are cooking on gas.

I owe you a beer Sir

Anmer

Fantastic.

Looks like the drivers in the Basestation file are no good for Windows 10.

Must make a note of this.

Hi

I would say its a recent thing. I have two other Win10 installs working just fine (one is even a virtual copy of Win10 running on a Macbook) and they went on without all this flap.

So, I am guessing its a new thing that the boys in Seattle have altered.

Or maybe its to do with this new machine being a Surface? Perhaps they have a slightly different brew of Windows?

Anmer

You could be right.  Good to know about it and how to solve the problem.

Hi

Indeed.... thanks again.

In frustration when it looked like this was going to be a no-go, I ordered a Flightaware Prostick Dongle from Moonraker anyway, so we shall see how that goes when it gets here!
