Airline representatives due at NI air links hearing

The boss of British Airways, Willie Walsh, and representatives from Ryanair and EasyJet are due to appear before MPs to discuss NI's air links.

The Northern Ireland Affairs Committee is taking evidence in its inquiry into an air transport strategy.

Among the issues being examined are the implications of current air links for the economy, including jobs, foreign investment and tourism.

It is also examining impact of the bmi takeover by BA's parent company, IAG.

Mr Walsh is head of IAG, which bought BMI from Lufthansa in April in a £172.5m deal.
