It would seem the formation was reduced to three Hawks due to the missing aircraft incurring a bird strike earlier.

I missed them over Pembrey by 5 minutes.  Someone needed to go shopping!

Interestingly FR24 showed the flypast yeaterday but not today even though I could track it on Basestation?

Again, I tried ogling out of the office window in the direction of EGHQ, but did not catch a glimpse of them as they went over the airport before heading for base. Apparently they are doing a final fly past around the Cornish Coast next Thursday - I may take a few hours out and a camera and see what I can get.

On Thursday, March 24, two jets will take off from RNAS Culdrose and fly up to Plymouth, before turning around and flying clockwise around Cornwall. They will then depart for RAF Shawbury.

The schedule for Thursday is:

3.30pm x2 Hawks depart Culdrose and head towards Plymouth

3.40 pm Tregantle (western edge of Plymouth)

3.43pm St Austell

3.47pm Culdrose

3.50pm Penzance

3.58pm Newquay

4pm Padstow

4.04pm Bude
