Slightly off topic but I thought it was worth a mention for those who also have an AIS setup.
The dev of AIS-Catcher has very kindly created ais2adsb, this programme converts AIS signals to Basestation to send to VRS, Tar etc. work's absolutely great and very easy to setup and customise MMSI to ICAO codes for your SQB database if needed. By default the programme only sends SAR aircraft via Basestation but there is also an option to send all AIS data and show vessels on VRS, some screen shots show where my AIS system tracked CG936 better than my ADSB receiver.

AIS-Catcher can be found here.

Looks good.
I will definitely be trying this out on my Pi by the sea. LNA and antenna now ordered!
Planes and boats on VRS - what's next satellites, trains?
