Hello

I'm a Mac user and i use a Aurora on a PC (more exactly a second Mac in BootCamp mode). Also i have written a little soft for see what planes are received on my PC (in lan).

That's a first search for doing a radar software on Mac. But i must resolve many other problems for finish :-D :-D

It's here: http://spottingbeauvais.free.fr/ at the link "Radar Monitor"

Sorry if the website is in french, but with the screenshots i think that's easy to understand how to use.

Hi again Rollover,

I have installed Radar Monitor, loads OK, connects to my SBS1er1 no worries but thats about it at the moment.

If there was some english instructions that might be helpful, while to some extant the pictures are helpful, I think many of us are not prepared to play with SQL files unless we know exactly what we are doing!

But, this has real potential for the Mac world.

I look forward with baited breath and with excitement .. something for the Mac yippee!!!!!

Hello

For the SQL files , the program do anything. It read only inside what info is needed and write or modify anything. Also you can use in local on the Mac with a copy or use the alias of the files from the PC created on the Mac.  Same for silhouettes, flags or logos folder. With the second method, if you share the PC folders,  you update only files on PC or use the modified files from PC by your radar software. Alias or full folders, you must use the exact names in the Radar Monitor "Files" folder for it work with all informations.

For planes infos, that's easy to write but not the essential. I search to do the radar and using the ".out" files. And the biggest, understand how to read the messages from a receiver. Perhaps never :-D :-D

Hi JB,

Quick reply, hopefully a few more Mac users will look at your software.

Give me a few days and I will tinker away and let you know how I go.

Cheers

Hello

A little modification for see photos of planes received by your radar. It can read pictures from a Jacars photo folder or the classic icons reg+.jpg. As other files used, create a alias or a full folder named "photos". That's work only if you have basestation.sqb (file or alias) in your "Files" folder because that's this file who translate ICAO code in real registration.

Hello

Do not use the folders alias from PC for silhouettes, logos and flags, that's too slow for resize the window and for refresh it. The result il more best with the direct files on Mac. I can't resolve this problem without loading the pictures in the software. Plz wait ;-)

Rollover I might get some time over the wekend to look at this program a bit more - keep up the good work!!  8)

Hi

The slow loading of pictures in lan is resolved (the soft load pictures of silhouettes and logos in ram). I have also modified the soft for to show a resizable web page of flightradar24.
