Hallo to all radarspotters from germany.
I am using for two years the airnav radarbox and now the SBS-3 too. I think, I am one of the first SBS-3 Users in Germany.
It is now a little bit difficult for me to configure the basestation software to my needs, because the airnav software is cool!

The reason for me to buy the SBS-3 too was the network-port, the SDR and the AIS, which is coming hopefully soon.

Thats enough from me for now...

Thanks to all for the welcome!

@Anmer
I am missing this on the basestation software (and my questions):
- No route information for the flights -> Can this display in the aircraft list?
- No aircraft photos taken from airliners.net or planepictures.net -> Can this shown inside the software?
- I was missing the integration of other maps like OSM or google
- Outlines and coastlines must be imported seperately
- Polar Diagram for the maximum range

All this was integreated in the ANRB-Software and it makes this hobby for me a little bit better.
Most of them can be shown in basestation with software-addons like ADL oder SBS-plotter but this requiers additional work and it is not fully integrated like in the radarbox.

The besestation software is better in showing the SDR for the SBS-3 and the tabs for different radar screens.

Yes using either Flight Display (Free) or Active Display (small fee)

Yes, as above.

Use Virtual Radar Server

This is the same as RadarBox.  But you have more control over how and what you display.  Also you can control Waypoints better.

Use SBS Plotter from jetvision.de

Yes some things are integrated which makes RadarBox attractive to those who don't like to change things.  Others prefer the options to use third-party addons and customise their display and aircraft database.

I'm not suggesting one is better than the other, it's down to personal preference.  I'm just trying to answer your points.

Thank you for the tips about the basestation. Some of them do I use already.
You are right, both systems have advantages and disadvantages. And now I am going to use more SBS-3 and less Radarbox.

Can you help me with Flight Display again?
Where are the pictures displayed? I have checked the box to use internet images but no display. The rest of the data was shown (Reg, Route, Logo etc.)

You can display the images (grabbed from the internet) in the FD MouseMode popup.  And/or in the Basestation popup Aircraft Details window.  But you need to have this code in the Basestation.xsl file:

<table width="197" >
<tr>
<td>
<img src="{//user/PictureURL1}" class="border" alt="PlanePictures" height="136" width="197" />
</td>
<td>
<img src="{//user/PictureURL2}" class="border" alt="Airliners.net" height="136" width="197" />
</td>
<td>
<img src="{//user/PictureURL3}" class="border" alt="Jetphotos" height="136" width="197" />
</td>
</tr>
</table>

You can change the table widths and image placeholders to suit yourself.  It's the img src that's important.

Have you checked the FD Options(1) tab "Write FD data to .xml file"?  And "Use Internet Images"?

Hi!

Both are checked.

I have found in the FD Internet Errors.txt following message:
