It was a Lynx ZZ518.  The hex code changed mid flight and that's when the callsign VENG37 (not VENGE37) appeared on screen.

I assume the Lynx was also using 43D206.  Which is why my observtion looked "more like a helicopter"!
Ah, great catch. I saw it as a unid earlier today, didn't catch the code change. Thanks for the follow up
