Luton Airport Viewing Location Query.

Hi,
Im thinking of having a day at Luton and was given Danes Lane / Chiltern green road (LU2 8PE) as a place to go thats a freebie - BUT it has now been doubled fenced to limit the view. Do i need my ladder or can i poke the lense through the fence..?
Any of you kind locals for Luton that can let me know if its worth the trip to get there ??

By crash gate 5.. end of a one track lane and post code as below, there are no facilities so bring what you need..  but good views can be had.. arrivwed for 6am..
