Morning all.
I`m in need of some help please.
Does anybody have any knowledge of the Kinetic SBS1 box, my PC did a windows update and reboot and now I can`t get my windows 10 PC to see/boot my SBS1 box.
On first boot in to the BIOS the yellow USB light comes on then goes off when windows starts to boot, it does flick on but then goes out, the RED power light is on and steady and I have 4 BLUE range light lit, I`v done lots of full shut downs and full power off cycles, I`v moved USB cables around to different ports and also looked at the hardware monitor in windows to see if there is any USB errors but nothing.
I`v run the SBS1 USB link tester software and this is the error message it generates.
" SBS-1 Link Tester started
Note:- You cannot test the link while BaseStation is running. If BaseStation is running then please shut it down before running a test.
Starting test, attempting to open USB link...
Opening USB link: BaudRate = 921600; USBTypeAutoDetectOverrideDesc = ""; USBTypeAutoDetectOverrideComPort = 0
Getting port to use...
Determining if ERROR is correct SBS-1 device
Error: No matching port names found!
Opening device ERROR
VID: 0000; PID: 0000
D2XX device failed to open
TEST FAILED!"
Until I can get my PC to see my SBS1 I can`t up load any data - so you see I need help.
Thanks Mike Tucknott

Sounds like the USB drivers have gone AWOL.

In your BaseStation folder you should have a file:

CDM20814_Setup.exe

Double click on this file and it should update the USB drivers.

If you still don't have any luck I can take a remote look with you but I'm away until next Tuesday.

Hi All
Problem sorted.
Thanks for the info,CDM20814_Setup.exe was not in my Basestation folder, I did a Google search and found a download link to a ZIP file, this was extracted and the "CDM20814_Setup.exe" placed in the Basestation folder, as soon as it was run the "Yellow" USB light came straight on.

My SBS1 is now online and sharing data with RADAR360 and Planeplotter.

Thanks Mike Tucknott
