Does Las Vegas Need A Second Airport?

There is plenty of land in this area for an airport. Currently there are two or three small dumpy hotel/casinos located in this area on the state line between Nevada & California.

Granted it will be only 23 miles from Las Vegas but maybe to far for many travelers. Some type of transportation system will need to be installed to move people into Las Vegas. Cab fairs would be way to high. No busses or trains service this area and sometimes the traffic is very bad mostly on weekends.

Will be interesting to follow the progress in this area. Hasn't changed in decades.
