After moving planeplotter to my 24/7 weather pc i reinstalled it on this one and tried to configure it to control the main 24/7 install.
After reading all i could find about the task i couldn't get it to work, i read the wiki, and the pp yahoo group forum on how to do it, all set up perfect and nothing.

To share screens pp creates a bmp/jpg image every x seconds and the 2nd pc is supposed to load it and display the contents hence 2 identical screans one with a few secoonds delay(ok for monitoring.)
Why it didn't work is pp is not creating the bmp/jpg file so the other pc can load it.

I now have it working live, getting my data direct and the shared data from the internet

as receiver on second pc i configured it to receive Radarbox v2 30003(for all i have a beast) and also sharing download only.
the direct data comes from pp tcp 30003(which is running for flightradar24)
and the sharing, download only from pp server, as on the 24/7 pc i am uploading/downloading GS/mlat so don't wan't to repeat the data from 2 pc's in the same spot.

Probably not the best formula but it works. i do use VNC for full control of the 24/7 pc from here but don't want it hogging the bandwidth
just goes to show there are more than one ways to skin a cat  ;)
