AirNavSystems RadarBox 3D STOLE Flight Data from their Clients

Published on Dec 27, 2012
Country: Philippines

AirNav RadarBox 3D Version 4.04 Beta deceived users into believing they can disable the " Share flight Data ".

But, AirNav REINSERTED the Share flight Data as soon as you close the window.
What AirNav System did is FRAUD & THEFT of information and should be exposed openly.

In some countries, it is illegal to share flight data.

The AirNav Systems ShipTrax AIS software also does the same thing with the "Share Ship Data"
Each time the software is started. You have to undo the "Share Ship Data" check box every time. If you don't unchecked it. It will steal your data till you change the settings in the software.  It doesn't remember your settings for each time the software is opened.

AirNavSystems RadarBox 3D STOLE Flight Data from their Clients ?

No, it's someone who steals 4.04 beta from Airnav and starts discussion about some beta button in beta version.

Net cop, can you please confirm if you purchased your Radarbox or are you the recipient of one of the free ones?

No, it's someone who steals 4.04 beta from Airnav and starts discussion about some beta button in beta version.

From what I can recall, AirNav sent him 4.04 as a beta to help it test the "Equatorial Black Hole" bug fix.

Like all good beta testers he's discovered a new bug or, possibly, a new feature.  Whatever the cause, it's a very worrying development.

My Radarbox unit was purchased more than three years ago in the US at my own expense and I enjoy this product including support. Yes, we have some problems time from time but I don't see a big problem here. The best product always attracts the best attention.

As for 4.04 video -  Really good beta testers respect NDA.  Don't they?

Totally agree.  Maybe that's why the RadarBox mostly gets the bad attention.

Surely that's a matter for AirNav and the beta tester and not for you or anyone else to comment?

As someone who's been "radarspotting" since 2005 and has used all the available receivers, including RadarBox, I must admit that I don't rate it too highly and as for AirNav support, I think it's abysmal.

Not only has the network been offline again today, there have been no alerts for over 10 days and no assurances that the problem is being tackled.

And why have there been no bug fixes for over 3 years, no Mlat (as promised) or anything else resembling product development?

We were promised great things after ShipTrax was released.  That was in January 2012 and now RadarBox24 is the excuse.

"Yes, we have some problems time from time but I don't see a big problem here"

As we say in my country.  "Pull the other one, it's got bells on".

And in case you haven't heard, the "word on the street" is AirNav's got itself into a "right proper mess".

I purchased two units(year:2008&2012) at my own expense in the United States.
ohh and the AirNav Systems support hasn't been any good to me & other users in the last 3 years!

After some owners owning two/more RB units and AirNav Systems treats the users like crap.  They wonder why the users get upset about no updates, etc and talk about the problems on forums like this.
I do enjoy using the product but it would be much nicer if the whole RadarBox community could be a large family supporting the product doing the life of the product.
Once the AirNav Systems server goes away. The life of the product goes down hill real quick! (No 3D options,Email alerts/Daily reports sent out automatically,Auto photos downloading, etc....)
The software doesn't have built in option of uploading ADS-B data to PlanePlotter,FR24,Planefinder, any other sites coming online,etc... (PlanePlotter has options uploading to those sites)
I don't know if it's the best product.  Because I never tried or care to compare any other products to RB.

A feature that does NOT exist in any 4.04 beta that I've received.  Un-ticking the Share option definately turns sharing OFF.  Now I'm only guessing, but maybe AirNav released a special version for equatorial black hole testing that forced sharing on so that they could analyse the equatorial data from testing?

Are you netcop22 elsewhere?

If so, I can understand why you have posted what you have on here.  There is no way on earth I enjoy Air Nav's customer support, there is no way on earth I consider what's going on as not being a big deal and there is definitely no way on earth that radarbox could ever be described as a 'best product'.

Are you sure you are talking about Air Nav and Radarbox?

But does it respect the customer's preferences between RadarBox sessions?
