Just picked up my copy of the March issue of Airkiner World and Air Nav have a full colour, full page advert on the back page for radarBox24.com.

Amongst the many claims are:

"Welcome to the first online real-time flight tracker fully developed by professional pilots"

Well, I always thought Brandao had dual personalities but as far as I am aware he's the only 'real' pilot involved in this.  I've also seen claims that a few of the pilots who endorsed Radarbox in their adverts were bogus.

"Air Nav RadarBox, the most trusted brand in Virtual radar receivers, is now available online at RadarBox24.com"

This has been debated before.  I certainly don't feel that first statement is true, quite the opposite actually.  I don't believe a word that Air Nav post on their site.

"Widen your horizons - it's all about coverage. Flight data is streamed in real-time from thousands of RadarBox receivers located in over 100 countries in addition to a direct connection with FAA flight information systems"

Do they have a direct connection to FAA fis?  Thousands of RadarBox's?

"RadarBox24 is powered by AirNav RadarBox, an ADS-B receiver developed by Air Nav Systems.  It is currently the world's best selling and most advanced ADS-B receiver"

Along with the claims to be the most trusted brand in virtual radar receivers, this is the biggest crock of pooh ever written.  Their servers go down at the drop of a hat and as for being the most advanced receiver, please, don't make me laugh.

We really need to pull the rug from Brandao as soon as possible, telling porkies on his website is bad enough but printing them in a UK magazine is beyond a joke.

UPDATE

Thought I'd have a look ar RB24, this is what I got

Temporarily Offline
We are performing maintenance on the RadarBox24 servers and it will be back online as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

All the best

I wish the ASA would get their finger out and take some action. The advert is misleading at best and I won't say what I think it is at worst :((

Magic440

Glad i got the SBS-1 now.Reading between the lines, the RD isn't quite what they are promising?

Radarbox is a disaster and I would advise anyone who has friends looking to buy this piece of garbage to shop elsewhere.

The list of faults is well documented on this site and Air Navs reluctance to fix known bugs, despite promising they would once they launched Ship Trax, has turned out to be just another one of the many lies they have told to their customers over the years.

Please discouarge as many as you can from wasting their hard earned money on this piece of trash.

I think you are preaching to the converted here.

You are so right but Magic is new here so I thought I'd give him my two pennyworth.

He did have the sense to go SBS, wish I had done that when I had the chance.
