MP calls for laser sentence review

Henry Smith MP has written to the Justice Secretary Chris Grayling requesting that the Government reviews current sentencing advice with respect to laser pen attacks on aircraft.

Mr Smith described himself as "incensed" after learning that a recent incident involving a plane approaching Gatwick Airport and then a helicopter had resulted in only a fine for the offender.
