Can somebody help please?
Last week I installed the Ethernet module on my SBS 1.
I followed the instructions in the manual but now I cannot connect to
the SBS 1. When I ping it I get no reply.
There is one red light and four blue lights on the display on the SBS1 and the Ethernet has a green light showing.
I tried to uninstall Basestation but it is still on my computer and if I try to run it by clicking the icon I get a message saying "Cannot find SQLite library."
I also have running on my computer SBS1 Client.
Ideas or a dummy's guide would be gratefully appreciated.

Was that the Ethernet Module from Kinetic?

What is your local network IP address range?

Hello again Anmer,
Yes, it is the Kinetic module and I have no idea what my IP address range is. How do I find it?

Anmer

Open a DOS window - Run->CMD

Then type "ipconfig"

There's a guide here that might help:

Thanks Anmer,
But no joy. "Request timed out"
I changed my settings as per the manual.
All I have is 1 red light and 4 blue lights.
My IP address is 10.0.1.2 if that is any help.

Did you change the SBS-1 IP address too?

No, I didn't touch it.
I read through the manual you posted yesterday and changed the Subnet Mask to 244.255.0.0.

Anmer

You need to change the SBS-1 Ethernet Module IP address to match your local network.

Try this Guide.  The other one covers the same procedure.

Anmer,
I've tried the instructions in the link you posted. No go.
In the cmd window Ipconfig brings up the following:
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
IP Address ..........10.0.1.2
Subnet Mask ........255.255.255.0
Default Gateway....10.0.1.254

When I try to change from automatically assigned IP address to "Use the following address" in Network Connection Properties I can no longer connect to the Internet.
I've tried pinging with the instructions in the manual and it doesn't work either.
I have tried another computer and it also gets no reply when I ping 192.168.1.170 .
Here's hoping.
