USAF KC-135 Stratotanker crashes at base in Kyrgyzstan

The aircraft crashed on takeoff from Manas airbase, which is used to support US military operations in Afghanistan. The aircraft is reported to be serial 63-8877 of the 22nd Air Refuelling Wing which I noted had overnighted at RAF Mildenhall on May 1/2 and tracked as it took off from there yesterday morning at 0620hrs.

My condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the crew members who have perished.
