The recent spat involving preston96 has highlighted an important issue which I think should be given an airing.

When starting a post asking for others to sell you their goods, it should be accepted that the OP undertakes to acknowledge any PM's sent in relation to the thread.  I think it's basic good manners to send a reply to a PM that's been sent to you, especially if that PM helps OP's purchase items they are looking for.

What do you guys think?

I don't think we need a rule about acknowledging PMs.  Common courtesy says one should respect the sender, unless the message is rude or threatening, in which case please forward a copy to me or another Mod.

As for good manners, one either has them or not.

This forum has been operating since January 2012 and only one (or is it two?) troublesome members isn't a bad record.

I and others always had suspicions about preston96's motives for joining but I'll keep them to myself.  But until he overstepped the line, I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

It reminded me of some friends who NEVER acknowledge emails or text messages.  However, whenever we met, they would asked : " How are you, long time didn't hear from you ."
