I'm having trouble this morning with using the Test Networking in PP.  :(

Check Sharing Status fine but the rest of the tests not good for my set up.

Anyone else having a problem ?

Are the tests working OK but failing for your setup?

What fail message are you getting?

Hi Mike

Tests seem to be working fine.  Results of test below.

Sharing Status fine.

Check raw data in - No pop up appearing.

Check raw data out -

Warning: socket_recvfrom() [function.socket-recvfrom]: unable to recvfrom [11]: Resource temporarily unavailable in /home/coaa/public_html/udpme-b.php on line 75

Response from your PlanePlotter
No data received

The lack of a response suggests that PlanePlotter is not receiving the request. Perform the Help..Test..Check raw data *in* to ensure that UDP traffic is correctly forwarded by your router.
Test ended.

Check GS/MU function -

is currently a Master User.
is currently a Ground Station
has "raw raw" enabled in Options I/O settings according to the information submitted in sharing.
Starting 1st simple poll test.....
did not respond to the 1st simple poll test.
If you are using a router, most probably the local IP address of your PlanePlotter PC has changed or you have not yet correctly configured port forwarding on your router to send UDP packets for port 9742 to the local IP address of your PlanePlotter PC.
In PlanePlotter, use all the diagnostic tools in Help..Test networking to identify the problem. When it is fixed, return to this page and try again.

I've just run a test and I think there's a problem with the PP server.

I could be wrong but others are reporting the same error on the PP Yahoo Group.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for that.

I had this problem as well.
After cycling the blue sharing button (with the arrows) the tests were successful.

Maybe I was just lucky, but worth a try.

Hi mezoo,

Thanks for that.

Tried it but no luck.

There was a post on the PP Yahoo Group from two days ago reporting the same error message that both Charlie and I were getting.

Hi Mike

failing the test at the first hurdle is  just a matter of checking that the IP address in port forwarding is still correct.

If the protforwarding has been done correctlyand has worked in the past , then only a changed IP will cause the test to fail.

I have no idea what your's or CBs sharer codes are , so cant do any tests , but a simple GS/MU triggers a note to me and at that point I can investigate.

There are well over 1500 users who are constantly checking their data , so if there had been any central problem , I would have known.

If you are still encountering probs , do the GS/MU test again  making sure raw data for mlats is ticked and also that the IP address in Port Forwarding is OK....I can then pick up from there.

Regards

John

Thanks John.

To the best of my knowledge the port forwarding is correct.

Unfortunately I'm about to leave for France so I don't have time to run any checks today.

Hi Mike and John,

Must have been a gremlin in my system.   :-\

Router reboot seems to have sorted out the problem.   :)
