Hi Guys,

I'm running adsbSCOPE in conjunction with ADSB# on a RTL dongle.

Works brilliantly, dead impressed.

I don't know if anybody else here knows this, so I'll ask anyway.

Is there any way to filter the log with adsbSCOPE? Currently, it dumps everything seen to the log. My interest is primarily Mil stuff, and to have to wade through hundreds of A320's going to Spain is really starting to be a pain!

It would be nice to be able to filter, say by hex code (such as log everything 43xxxx or AExxxx) to avoid spending hours deleting stuff.

Has anybody been able to acheive this? I've emailed sprut (the developer) but had no reply!

Cheers,

James

I use adsbscope when I am mobile with my GNS USB receiver. I like it because it is lightweight and works on my old netbook. I tested the logging but was also overwhelmed by the data.

I remember reading on sprut's homepage or in the documentation that the logging feature is very rudimentary and is on his todo list. So we can only wait and hope.

If you dont want to see the aircraft tracked you could use the adsbscope programme from IC7K. It provides a database which can be searched but does not show a plot of the aircraft. It uses a Navdata file for storing plane data.

If you looking for plotting, logging and filtering I would suggest you look into the Virtual Radar programme. This has a report generator which can be configured in various ways. It saves the data in a basestation.sqb file.

You can use the TCP servers of either adsbscope programmes to feed the data to the Virtual Radar or other programmes.
