Hi alpey

Thanks for the screenshot.

He was around for about an hour. As far as I could tell he was doing "figure of 8" circuits at the same altitude around Barcelona.

Move over Ryanair! In these parts convoys of Vueling aircraft rule the skies!

The rain has been intense today, so this Ryanair flight from Eindhoven is waiting to see if the amount of surface water on the runway reduces. My guess says it will divert to Barcelona. So much for the sunny Costa Daurada  ???

Unfortunately for the passengers it has now diverted to Barcelona.

Snow stops us dead in Britain, rain stops them dead here  :-[

I thought the rain in Spain fell mainly on the plane. (sic)

Winter has finally arrived on the Costa Daurada! Why?

It's the first day of winter flight crew training at Reus Airport. Vueling is the first customer of the season.

An A320 circling overhead at no more than 1600 feet for hours on end is always looked forward with joy by the residents underneath  :)

According to PlaneBaseNG, this Avion Express A320, LY-VEM, was leased to Vueling in June of this year. Vueling has stored it at Reus Airport since the 1st November. Today it's on the move again.

The first time a Dreamlifter has gone overhead. Shame it was dark....

This pair flew by the window. Unusual to have them so close together on approach to Barcelona. Visually, due to the angle I was viewing them, they looked like they were flying virtually wingtip to wingtip   :o

The callsign is that of Avion Express, but I believe it's a Vueling flight crew that's doing the actual training today.

Cometh a New Year, the use of Reus airport for training continues. The first customer of 2015 being Lufthansa.
