PlanePlotter version 6.4.1.0 is now available for download following the link on the web site.

http://www.planeplotter.com#download

---Usual boilerplate---
Updates are free to registered users.

You may need to exercise your browser Refresh function to force it to show you the new version of the PlanePlotter web page. If you post a message saying that the web site is still pointing to an earlier version, you pay a forfeit.

You can install the new version over the old one but you *must* close/exit PlanePlotter before installing the new one. Your settings will be preserved. If you post a message saying that the installer is unable to replace planeplotter.exe, it mEans that you did not close PlanePlotter first and you pay a forfeit.

If you have a version-specific firewall (eg Zone Alarm), you may have to reassure it that the new version is permitted to access the Internet.

New in version 6.4.1.0

Controllable SMU clock calibration tolerance

The SMU clock calibration allows us to relax the conditions for an SMU running with dongle-based Ground Stations to improve the performance of the system.

New preset in secondary sharing setup

A button in the sharing setup dialog sets up FlightAware in the secondary sharer box. PlaneFinder and FlightRadar24 are already buttons in that dialog.

Suppress ACARS ADS lookup when no hex code is known

The ACARS lookup suppression should fix the problem with ACARS messages flagging "Interested" when they should not.

Show route in the SPI report

If an aircraft squawks "ident" and if it has a known route, then the route will appear alongside the status bar message about the SPI.

Log TCP client auto restarts

The logging of restarts allows users to monitor when their receiver TCP/IP connection fails and is automatically restarted by PlanePlotter.

Setup wizard for the RTL dongle via RTL1090 and RPi/dump1090

Two extra options in the Setup Wizard allow RTL dongle users to set up from scratch more easily.

Thanks to all those users who have reported infelicities or have requested new features incorporated in this new release.
