Not sure if this is the correct forum, move the post if necessary.

RTL1090 Beta 2, table screen. Anyone can explain about meanings of g*456^ column?

G: on ground (no doubt).
*: position available or timed out (no doubt). What about even or odd CPR position data? What do they mean?
4, 5, 6: EHS reply....   An explanation would be welcome.
^: DO260A/B format indicators...  A brief explanation please?

Thank you !!

Look down the page and you will see "RTL1090 Installation and Operations Manual"

Hopefully this will answer all your questions  :)

Breitling

Not at all. I know the document but not what those items do really mean.

The questions are:

1.- What is an even (or odd) CPR position data?
2.- What is a 4 (or 5, or 6) EHS reply?
3.- What is a DO260A/B format indicator, and differences between them.

Just to know what RTL1090 is "saying" to me.

Although Andy from Jetvision does visit this forum, you may get a quicker answer if you post the question on the RTL1090 Yahoo Group:

Thanks Anmer, I find Yahoo Groups not too much user-friendly, but I'll try.

I life near LOWW / VIE and see Ground Traffic too.

Bethsalem

It sounds like you want to chain the dongles together so that you get all the data to display on one pc screen? I think the rtl1090 software uses the strongest signal when it looks at data from multiple dongles, although I could be wrong on that one.

When I chained my 2 dongles together to increase coverage I used this tutorial, which worked flawlessly.
