Surprised that this doesn't show in Canadian Civil Register.

Doing a search on the reg, it seems to have been allocated several times before being sold on (at least HS-AFK, G-OBDA). A note on ANRB forum suggests:

C00A22   C-FDVT, nothing on Transport Canada but going by previous I would suggest this is a Diamond test registration as 4 Katanas have been the last users

I eyeballed it about an hour after posting and it's definitely a DA40. It belongs to one of the local flight schools at Reus airport. I think it's CESDA, but I'll check to make sure it definitely is.

I think so, CESDA have (or had...) some DA40's for training.
