British Airways has apologised for a badly timed advertising campaign suggesting holidaymakers 'discover the Indian Ocean', launched days after the area was confirmed as the most likely location for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

The interactive billboard, spotted beside an escalator at Euston Station in London, shows an expanse of blue ocean, and, written on top, the words: 'Escape the commute and discover the Indian Ocean.'

I am sure those involved in searching for MH 370 is discovering the wonders of the Indian Ocean.

On MAS home ground - it got "hit below the belt" by its fierce competitor, Air Asia.

But, some Malaysians found MH370 parked by the kerbside.
