Roadrunner

Hi there,

I feed FR24 using my SBS3 but I have a program on my PC that allows it to happen (downloadable from the FR website). Never tried feeding anything without a PC as have always used a Kinetic device linked via ethernet cable to my router/pc

Regards Mike

The FR24 feeder is expecting decoded data on port 30003.  You would also need to run BaseStation on the PC as well as the FR24 feeder utility.

Does it possible to share traffic information with FR24 without PC?

I don't think so but you can feed FlightAware direct from an SBS-3.

Hi Anmer i had my Kinetic SBS-3 since it first came out i find that my range compare to my flightaware, radarbox micro,gns5890 is very similar with my ZMX high gain vertical adsb antenna except when i use the ZMX beam with a yaesu rotator i get far better range but when i go mobile furthest i got so far has been over 300nm very happy with that as for the receiver side on vhf airband is as good as my other receivers from aor, grundig, icom,
realistic, uniden antennas for airband are Icom-AH7000 discone connected to a 4 port stridsberg active multicoupler and there is 8 radios connected and my other antenna is a custom made airband only Polar-214A dipole thats also connected to a 4 port stridsberg active multicoupler and there is also 8 radios connected.

Regards Lino.

from the information i saw about this product it seemed good but the downside is the software and having having to muck around with settings just lets the whole thing down for me.

like seeing logos why on earth is there no set path to folders? also connecting to the internet is a real nightmare.

i have used various dongles with no real problems but this item is very hard to do anything and a nightmare to set anything up

The SBS-3 is a radio receiver, just like the cheaper DVB-T SDR "dongles", none of which come with software to decode and present aircraft data.

In my opinion, BaseStation is still the best PC software for tracking aircraft using one's own receiver, either the Kinetic family (SBS-1/3 and Puck) or others, when used with appropriate "middleware" utilities.

BaseStation offers a high level or personalisation and flexibility.

I have responded to your other post regarding setting paths.

Out of curiosity, what software are you using with your "various dongles"?
