RadarBox24 Elite for iOS

I see AirNav has made a "stealth" launch of a new iOS app called RadarBox24 Elite.

Free to download but only for use by feeders, otherwise it's on subscription at US $2.99 a month.

"Application is free for active RadarBox24 Worldwide ADS-B network data sharers. For non data sharing users, the subscription price is $2.99USD/month and the subscription automatically renews each month indefinitely. You can cancel your monthly subscription renewal at any time (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4098 for details). Your subscription will grant you Elite access to RadarBox24.com on all available platforms."

There's nothing to describe the benefits but I assume RadarBox24 Elite will be free of adverts.  I could be wrong.

The only (useful) mention I found is this old forum post from January 2014:

"We are preparing the "RadarBox24 Elite" membership which will remove ads and a few new features.

It will be a paid membership unless you are a feeder (in that case Elite will be free)."

This doesn't look like a good deal considering Flightradar24 Premium has substantially more coverage (aircraft) as well as MLAT and includes free Premium apps for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Windows 8 and MAC.  Plus the FR24 website has enhanced features for Premium subscribers (free for all feeders) and costs less than RadarBox24 Elite.

And I wonder why there's been no direct announcement for RadarBox customers or a post on the AirNav forum?

No doubt AirNav will be announcing "more good news soon"!

Who in his / her right mind will pay USD 2.99 per month to install an Apps to view almost NOTHING.

AirNav's PAID Customers who OWNED Radar Box have been switching OFF their boxes and deprived The Chief Thief of the necessary ( STOLEN ) Data to feed Radarbox24.com.

Subscription will be renewed automatically indefinitely !

wow, very simple to defect this SCAMS - subscribe for 1st month - then report to your credit card company your Card got stolen.
