Hi All,

It would appear that my internal aerial connector has finally given up the ghost as i'm not receiving any information from my aerial after the missus decided to move the bedroom around  >:(

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement to solder on, or at least have a part number of the connector?

Many Thanks

Andy

Have you opened the receiver to check if it's loose?

Can you solder the component back onto the board?

Not exactly sure what the missus did with it but 3 of the legs have snapped as has the centre core!!

Looks like a simple job to solder a new one on, but would be trickier to repair the old one.

Found this on the rs website

http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/bnc-connectors/3941061/

dimensions look the same just not sure about the 50 ohms?? Could anyone clarify if that's ok to use??

Cheers

Andy

P.s Im just tapping a MAN feed from MMS2 for now and obviously not uploading till this is sorted. Is that ok or should I stop?

Perhaps give Chris Taylor a call at Taylor Made RF about a new antenna module?

MMS2 should be OK.

Just to close this thread off,

The item listed on the rs website above did the job.

A quick 10 min soldering job and all is well again  ;D
