Overall the price of the App may reflect all this: a higher price than others apps since development costs need to be recouped from only a limited number of people who will be interested?

Quite possibly but market forces tend not to favour development cost, just comparative prices.

And without a PP licence and Master User status, it doesn't offer the customer much extra.

Mike, why are you getting so worked up over something you are never likely to use.

It's been designed for PP users to give them a means of taking their PP with them anywhere. Everyone who has bought it is delighted with it - except those who tried to use it on tablets/phones which do not have Android 4.*.*

I have paid much more for Android apps that didn't work and I couldn't get a refund. Luke has immediately refunded those with Blackberries and Kindle Fires which run a mangled version of Android.

Just to reiterate, I've seen some 15 Mil ac on PP today that never appeared on FR24. I also saw a number of Bizjets which appeared on FR24 but with no info. PP gave full info.

Nuff said?

And why do you keep hitting out at me whenever I express a valid opinion about PP?

This is a "forum" where we can discuss the merits or otherwise about anything to do with radarspotting.  All we have to do is abide by the rules.

Conflicts:
If you have an issue with another member try to resolve it via PM in a polite and non abusive manner and not within the regular forum.

I still think the PPm app is expensive compared to alternatives.  That's my view and you can disagree as much as you wish but please stop attacking me.

My latest comment was about market forces and selling prices and even you must agree with me about that.

I agree - just my thought about the possible reason for the higher comparative cost.

Got PPM installed yesterday and MU MLAT added today. Very early days but like it so far, will wait for 3 party add-ons etc.

One small thing to watch out for is, the license is only for one device, I did not read the small print and thought you might be able to install on your phone and tablet with the same license. You can't, which is a shame as most apps allow use on phones and tablets with one payment.

Usually on another device that uses the same store account, app and operating system.

If you buy an Android app, it can't be used on an iOS device or vice versa.

But since PPm is only available for Android, normally the app could be installed and used on any Android device, such as a smart phone and tablet.  Restricting use to the same store account prevents the paid app from being shared with others.

From what I've seen elsewhere, an iOS app may not be justified.

A reply to your same question was posted on another forum.

The SBS viewer IOS app will work with the port 30003 feed from plane plotter and does it quite well but to be honest Virtual radar server with any port 30003 feed works on any device and its free which I know you all love :)
