During September NATS handled 205,396 flights, an increase of 2.3% compared to the same period last year.

At 11 out of the 15 airports where NATS operates air traffic services there was a rise in scheduled air traffic, with Stansted leading this increase with a rise of 9.8%, while Glasgow saw an increase of 9.2% and Cardiff 7.9%.

NATS-attributable delays totalled 12,487 minutes last month, making it the fourth lowest September total since records began in 1996.

The UK market grew by 2.3% last month, with the non-transatlantic overflights sector leading the way again with a 4.9% rise and transatlantic arrivals/departures also growing by 4.3%.
