That was a bit of an omission on my part!

My range would be better if I could just get it about a metre or so higher, then I would free of the obstructing stairwell. Also if I used 50 ohm coaxial rather than sat tv 75 ohm.  Ah, well.......

I've attached another screenshot of the range after about 10 or so hours.

today i recived my Antenna to!
The sshhhh is not possible to remove the Plate. I would use them when i take a Train but with that i cant give it in my backpack so i use that:

Thats prety good considering the price, one of my dongles stopped playing games, OS detects it ok but nothing, at the price you can't complain as it was the first one i bought. The Beast has been back twice in the same length of time, although i only paid postage still cost more than a new dongle.

As an update, I've changed the jpole antenna for this 4 element colinear one, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ADS-B-omni-antenna-1090-MHz-PROMO-PRICE-6-dBi-for-SBS-Radarbox-micro-ADSB-RTL-/191471748758?pt=US_Surveillance_Gadgets&hash=item2c949b0696 , removed the LNA as it was oversaturating the dongle.

I've attached a couple of screenshots so that you can see the increase in range. Sorry they are to different scales, but you get the idea
