I've been attempting to find my SQB Backup folder in Basestation.

AD Lite tells me that it saves them in SQBBackups\Basestation etc.

Try as I might, I can't find the location. I suspect that the folder is becoming very full and could do with some weeding out.

If anyone could help, I would be extremely grateful!

Thanks, Gentlemen.

PS Win Vista, BTW.

In my case ADL save the backups in a sub folder of the main BaseStation folder ....... Basestation\Database Backup.

Thanks, Tim.

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case in my installation.

I did find it/them once before but memory fade has struck with a vengeance.

It's very frustrating. (Understaement mode to standby)

Thanks for responding.

Tim,

I use the full version of AD so I don't know if it's the same as AD Lite. AD allows you to define the backup folder.

The default is Basestation\SQBBackups.

If you can't find that folder just search the drive for .sqb

If all else fails just go to the Basestation folder and copy the Basestation.sqb to another folder and rename it e.g Basestation_2014-09-17.sqb.

Make sure your folder options are set to show hidden files.

The easiest backup option is to just copy your active BaseStation.sqb file on a regular basis or, preferably, have a system wide backup solution such as Acronis True Image.

I just ran AD Lite and noted that the backup is created in a new sub-folder called SQBBackups in the folder shown in AD Lite as the BaseStation database path.

In AD Lite under SBS Basestation DB select Show Database Path.  The path will then be displayed in the AD Lite toolbar.

Next use Windows Explorer to view that folder and look for a new sub-folder called SQBBackups.  The back up file should be named:

Basestation_2014-09-27 1210.sqb

..or the date and time of your last backup using AD Lite.

Thanks Smudger.

The folder SQBBackups will be created by AD Lite as a sub-folder within the one that has the BaseStation.sqb file, as shown as the database path in AD Lite.

Change the path and a new sub-folder will be created there when the AD Lite backup option is used.
