6th December Silhouette

I was in two minds about the correct answer.

It's a

Shin Meiwa PS-1

Some have used the manufacturer's later spelling of ShinMaywa, which I will accept.

Others have suggested it's a

Shin Meiwa US-1

But the US-1 has landing gear housed in a prominent bulge on the fuselage whereas the PS-1 has "beaching gear" without the bulge.  There is no bulge in the silhouette.

And some have hedged their bets with:

Shin Meiwa PS-1/US-1

Having thought long and hard I've decided to only accept :

Shin Meiwa PS-1
ShinMaywa PS-1

And remember we need the manufacturer and aircraft type.

8th December Silhouette

This was more difficult than I expected.

It's a Boeing B720.

I'll accept Boeing 720 or Boeing 720B.

The Boeing B707 has a longer fuselage.

10th December Silhouette

Potez 840

Not a Potez 841 which had different engine nacelles nor the Potez 842 which had similar engines to the 840.

The silhouette is the Potez 840 prototype with only one side window in the cockpit.  Later models, including the Potez 842, had two side windows.

You didn't need to.  Just had to recognise the silhouette.

I never said they'd be easy.

These were easier than I expected, except number 2 which was:

Saro A.37 Shrimp

With the, later, single rudder.
