Plotter not plotting?

Hi

I currently have G-JMCR on my screen (covering South Cheshire) with the aircraft symbol so should be plotting.  But it isn't?  FR24 has it positioned just about over my house but their details show that the position is MLATed?

This is the first time I have seen a non-plotting aircraft with the Basestation aircraft symbol but not plotting.

Anyone know the reason for this?

Can you confirm what you mean by "the BaseStation aircraft symbol"?

Where are you seeing this? In the aircraft list in the Status column?

If the aircraft isn't transmitting lat and long data but shows as an aircraft symbol in the aircraft list, maybe the transponder is sending bad data?  What hex code did it show?

Are you using an SBS or Puck receiver?

Hi,

Sorry - I mean the symbol in the aircraft list - the Status column in the SQB.  It was showing as a green aircraft rather than 4 green dots.

It was using HEX code 406B88.

I was using my SBS-1

Thanks.

Airframes shows the aircraft as being ADS-B.  Planefinder "playback" lists the aircraft but with a false plot.

FR24 tracks it as MLAT but only for part of the route so I'm guessing a faulty transponder?

Ok - thanks for that.

G-JMCR seems to be another TF-BBE where the transponder emits totally incorrect positions.

If you look at the plot on FR24 it jumps around.

From BS Reporter tonight , initial position and final position make no sense - somewhere in the Sahara?
