Maybe a rhetorical question, but why does the app need access to the Device ID and call information ??????

The app also requires Location information - that I can understand.
But Device ID & call information is defined as "Allows the app to determine the phone number and device IDs, whether a call is active and the remote number connected by a call"
Why does it need that - big brother ???
