Delta CEO Is Right -- Used Boeing 777-200s Are Worth Just $10 Million, Expert Says

Wednesday, November 18, 2015

It turns out Delta CEO Richard Anderson was right about the value of used Boeing 777s, according to a leading airline and aerospace consultant.

On Delta's Oct. 14 earnings call, Anderson said the used aircraft market is glutted with used Boeing 777s and becoming more so. Anderson said he sees "a huge bubble in excess-wide-body airplanes around the world," creating a market for 10-year-old 777-200s at about $10 million.

USB connection coming soon (3 months)
"It is intended for the RBCS to be able to connect to a computer via USB similar to the existing box within the next 3 months."

Quote from http://romanian-spotters.forumer.ro

Hi Cosmin,

My name is Alan McKnight and I represent AirNav Systems.
Our company develops the RadarBox24 website, apps and ADS-B receivers.
Some time ago you expressed interest in receiving an ADS-B receiver so we can increase our coverage in your area of the world.

The package you would receive consists of an ADS-B receiver, external antenna, an ethernet cable and a power supply. The cable from the antenna to the receiver (antenna cable) has 7 meters (23 ft) and from the receiver to the router (ethernet cable) 15 meters (50 ft). This should be enough for your needs.

If so please answer the following questions:
1- Are you still interested in getting this receiver?
2- Are you able to place the antenna with a full 360 degree view of the sky?
3- Are you able to connect the receiver to a router/switch with broadband internet?
4- Are you able to keep the connection ON 24 hours per day, 365 days per year?
If yes we would be happy to offer you a brand new RadarBox ComStation and invite you to be part of our soon to be released Elite membership where you would be able to access exclusive features at RadarBox24 for free.
Waiting for your reply so we can send you our agreement.

Regards, Alan McKnight

The units stream what you are picking up to the network for display on Radarbox24 and also on the network for users who use that facility with their Radarbox.  It is MLAT capable and will also stream 2 way voice communications similar to Live ATC again for Radarbox24.

The units don't at this time connect to direct to a computer just to power, internet and the antenna and stream to RB24 and the network.  As far as I am aware it is intended for the RBCS to be able to connect to a computer via USB similar to the existing box within the next 3 months.

Obviously to make MLAT work we need feeders so if anyone on the Romanian Spotters forum is interested, they can register via Increase Coverage on Radarbox24.com
