Who Receives the AD Licence Fees?

This post on the Kinetic forum reflects some of the current issues regarding AD Support.

The annual licence fee is GBP £25 per annum.

It's rumoured that over 3,000 licences have been sold, that's the equivalent of GBP £75,000 per year.  Whilst I appreciate that not all licences will be renewed, it does beg the question "Who receives the licence fee revenue?"

The Gatwick Aviation Society or Gary Jones' estate?

And is any of it used to fund AD support?

I remember from talking to Gary that a lot of the money was spent on the server and I do believe an outside company was engaged to make some of the original specifications for the program. However I think GAS actually had very little input into the finished program and Gary was a one man band so with his passing the program had very little choices. I for one am happy to pay a yearly fee for the program as I like the layout and feel of the screens  and nothing else I know of comes near it for me.

I agree there will be server costs but it won't be much these days.

I also agree that ADS and AD Lite are very good products.  But, as Caravelle has posted on the Kinetic forum, providing maintenance and support is proving difficult.  Which is why I'm curious about the fees.

If specialist help is required, perhaps the fee income could contribute to any expenses?
