Does anyone know how you manage to join the Kinetic SBS Forum? I have made a few attempts at registering but never receive an email to say my registration has been activated. The FAQ says to contact an Adminstrator but there are no contact details available unless you are a member of the Forum.

Thanks

Anmer

The Kinetic forum is administered by Chris Taylor of TMRF Ltd.

I haven't seen new members there for a long time.

Maybe send Chris an email:

Just checked and the most recent new member on the Kinetic Forum joined in July 2015.

Looks like the forum is now closed to new members.  RIP.

I find it quite sad.

Kinetic were the first to provide Mode-S receiving and decoding hardware/software for the new radarspotting "hobby".

Its receivers have proved highly reliable and BaseStation is still one of the best solutions for "tracking" aircraft and recording them in a local database.  It's further enhanced by those who freely give their time to share logos, silhouettes and outlines.

But I have come to the conclusion that Kinetic has "moved on" and has little interest in this topic.

I can envisage sales of the SBS-3 and Puck 1090 coming to a standstill and am not expecting any new BaseStation software releases.

Maybe we're witnessing the end of an era?  I hope not but suspect we are.

The Kinetic forum is still live and does have post that are up to date.
Maybe Chris just does not have as much time now to spend on it.

Agreed but it's not open to new members.

If Chris is busy, Kinetic should find someone else to administer the forum.  But I don't think it's interested.

I have absolutely no interest in moderating the Kinetic forum.  Keeping you lot in check is already a full time job.  ;)
