Electrical Resistance on SMA Connector

Hi Guys,

anyone of you with a Mode-S Beast or probably similar receiver...

Could you please check, what electric resistance you have on the SMA Connector for the Antenna? Between the inner signal connector and the outer mounting thread i have about less than 1 Ohm and somehow i doubt that this is correct..

I'm away from home and my Beast  But many are getting confused by SMA and RP-SMA connectors.

Thanks, but thats not the case. The Beast and my coax cable has non-RP-SMA Connectors.

Günter from jetvision could give me an answer:

The center conductor of the SMA is short against ground by a 8.2nH air coil of low impedance for protection against statics and weak lightenings.

So my readings seem to be correct.
