From Bev at COAA:

Hi

Since a number of PlanePlotter users have never managed to set their PC clocks correctly, I have implemented a means to deal with PC clock errors within the program.

I am still optimising the algorithm but any user for whom PC clock errors have prevented the sharing system from working, should now find that basic sharing will work, even if the PC clock is wrong.

Paradoxically, most of the users who are currently running with significant PC clock errors are in the 25% of users who have not yet update to version 6.4.4.7 of PlanePlotter.

Please, if you have never installed NTP to keep your PC clock exact, download and install the latest version of PlanePlotter.

I should probably add that in order for the server to send your system the time correction to be applied, you must have two way sharing enabled (two arrows in the Share button). If you don't, the server will be unable to send the time correction to PlanePlotter to allow it to work.

My NTP program failed to restart after I upgraded to Win10 Pro 64bit. The solution was to update NTP to the latest version (ntp-4.2.8p8) which was released in June 2016. It can be found here
