There any radar spotting software that logs what you see?

I use planeplotter.

I want something that logs what it sees. and I could go back later on to see what was in the area or maybe cross reference planes.

This even possible?   There a software out there that does this?   Or can I even do it within planeplotter itself?

What receiver do you have?

Many use the BaseStation.sqb file as a database.  BaseStation adds received ModeS messages to the database.

Reading the PlanePlotter Help, it suggests it too can add locally received aircraft:

Local traffic adds to database

If this option is enabled, any locally received reports will be added to the SQB database provided that the main option (above) is also enabled.

Search PP Help using:

"basestation sqb"

Sorry, I have only just seen this post.

PP can log what it sees, have a look in the help file searching for 'report' and click on the 'Define Report fields' link. That will show you how to set up a report that meets your requirements that you can later review.
