Hello everyone, For a couple of years I've been tracking various aircraft using Flightadar24, Radarbox24, Planefinder and Flightaware. To me the next step is to get some hardware/software and track aircraft from my base location which is west of Bristol airport. The assistance offered and the information available on the various Radarspotting forums should enable me to make a well informed decision on an appropriate set up.

Welcome.

The lowest cost and easiest option to get started with your own hardware is a FlightAware Pro Stick and RPi running PiAware.

Depending on your personal situation, there are many antenna options to consider.

This window mount antenna gives very good results if you can't run to a mast mounted external.  Or start with a ADSB Mini whip.
