SBS 1 drops out every now and then, sometimes ok for days then crashes 4 times a day , I am also running Aircraft Displal Lite. Any ideas ?

How are you connected?  USB or Ethernet.

What do you experience, any error messages?

Hi,
I am getting a laptop with windows 10 so will load the Basestation software from the kinetic site rather than use my old original CD.

How do I know whether to download SBS-1  5V or SBS-1 12V ?

The Basestation software is the the same whatever SBS-1 you have. Latest version is 184.

Voltage is only important if you are flashing the firmware (or you need a new PSU  ).
