Missing ftdxx.dll file

I am trying to get back into Radarspotting but I am struggling.

I have 2 decent pc's running windows 7, but every time I try and install Base station I am told the above file is missing. I am trying to install using the kinetics download for usb.

Spent a little time googling the missing file and thought I had found a download. However my AVG interrupted things advising me that the download had some undesirables with it,

Is this file problem an issue with windows 7 or all versions?

Any comments or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Have PM you - sorry about this I just don't know why it is happening.

However good news in the mean time went onto www.ftdichip.com and downloaded their latest drivers The 64 bit didn't work no matter where I put it.
I downloaded the 32 bit and put it in the system file. I think all seems fine now, but will check it out tomorrow. Thanks for trying to send me file, just worrying that it is bouncing back, makes me wonder if this is happening to other mail.
