QueryLimits in Basestation.INI and Reporter.INI

By default there is in (Saved Views) a limitvalue set 50000 .
And for all established Radar Screen Views likewise.
In BS Reporter.INI (Reports) same limitvalue
goes for Aircraft/Flights/Sessions/Sessionflights.

Now what happens if the local .SQB DB is reaching such limit
e.g. ttl nbr of ModeS entries?
How is BS behaving ? Does it quit writing onto SQB ?

Has anyone experienced such reaching the limit
or played with raising the limit ?

TIA
Klaus

The Reporter Query Limit can be increased.  It's only there to make the display quicker.

Thanks Mike .
so BS can write into SQB unrestricted.
I browsed thru RefMan and the Bones fine Tutorials before
but could not find an info there.
I was in belief it all was triggered by BS in the first place.
So with the given limits (for a convenient response time)
either one Limit MAY be raised .
If it is not done, does the Browser/Viewer still display the full length of SQB when scrolling thru ?
(BS off, SQB Aircraft ModeS sequence) or does it stop/crop ?

I am much obliged for your attention

Hi Klaus

I'm not aware of any record restriction in the sqb file.  I only have 46,000 aircraft records in my sqb.

As I mentioned before, the default Reporter query limits are set at 50,000 but can be changed.

Do you have more than 50,000 aircraft records?

Nope, I am at around 49000, with quite a great number of recorded blanks,
but if the 'Not Found' have plausible data I keep them.
But I get rid of all the typical russian 1sec bursts, the losses, never-come-back-sales/changes,
regularily the 'Not Allocated' and the old MIls when they started to frequently swop the tacticals.
However with the new habit to transfer airframes from one country to another and back again
like a lot of the charter airlines do, I keep them in my DB.
But the number of manually populated via Browser is becoming greater than my positiv deletions via SQLite.

#5
I have over 50 000 records in my .sqb file and have not encountered a problem.

I did increase the limits in reporter once I realised I'd gone over the upper limit setting, but from an 'operational' point of view there were no problems.

Cheers,

Keef.

Hi Keef
thanks for reassuring me.
I shall increase just these two.
Not interested in the past so I delete after some 50 Sessions or at least 35days anyway.
so I do not expect to exceed any other limit.

Klaus
