Anyone please help? I am using an NooLec R820T feeding into ASDBSCOPE from an external antenna (no internet imput). It is displaying Military traffic but only in the right-hand plane table , the details and aircraft symbol dies not appear in the main left hand plane (map) why is this , am I missing a set-up somewhere ??All civil traffic is displayed ok on the map. Many thanks.

IanH

Military tends to not transmit positions. If you look at the table on the right, the latititude and longitude are probably empty. Without that info, they cannot be plotted on the map.

That is where MLAT (multilateration) comes in.  But for that you need to share your date over the internet.

look up Piaware and PlanePlotter for more info. Or ask here for help if you want go that route.

IanH is correct.

This Guide may help explain a bit more.

If you want to "track" local military aircraft, think about PiAware:

Thanks guys ,it makes more scence now. Its not a problem with me at home as I can access mil traffic via 360radar and ADSB websites. I was just hoping to use the RTL Dongle and small laptop out and about when I have no internet access. When I get into it I will feed my stuff into 360radar.
